Paavi accessibility
We build Paavi (formerly called Field Notes) so every AV tech can use it, in a dark ballroom or at a desk. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard used for apps under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What Paavi supports today:
- Larger Text. Every screen follows your iPhone's text size, including the largest accessibility sizes.
- Reading Font. Switch the whole app to OpenDyslexic or Atkinson Hyperlegible, with extra letter and line spacing, in Profile > Reading & Accessibility.
- VoiceOver and Voice Control. Buttons, gear status, and the Signal Flow patch board are labeled, and Paavi's replies are announced.
- Contrast. All text meets 4.5:1 contrast on every background.
- Not color alone. Status always shows a word and a dot, not just a color.
- Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency are respected.
- No camera required. Anywhere you can scan a tag, you can type the ID instead.
- Paavi voice speed. Slower, normal, or show mode.
Something not working for you? Email us at contact@lacyjones.com and tell us the screen and what happened. We aim to reply within 3 business days.
