AV Field Guide
Privacy Policy Last updated July 2, 2026
The Lacy Jones Agency (“we”, “us”) builds AV Field Guide (the “App”), a production-assistant app for audio/visual professionals. This policy explains what the App collects, why, and your choices.
What we collect Account. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email. We use this to create and secure your account. We never receive your Apple password.
Your content. Data you create in the App — gear inventory, gigs and events, clients, quotes, invoices, receipts, time entries, vehicles, and field notes (including any text, photos, or scanned business cards you capture) — is stored on your device and backed up to our cloud database (Supabase) under your account. It is protected by row-level security so no other user can read it.
Location (optional, off by default). If you turn on location tagging (Profile → Location), we attach the place you clocked in to a time entry. You can turn this off anytime. We do not track your location in the background.
Calendar & Reminders (optional). If you grant access, the App adds load-ins, shows, strikes, and reminders you create to your device calendar. This stays on your device and your iCloud; we don’t copy your calendar to our servers.
AI features (VAL and photo identification) The App includes an AI assistant (“VAL”) and photo-based gear identification. When you use these, the relevant content — your message, related gear and gig context, and any photo you ask VAL to identify — is sent through our secure backend to Anthropic (our AI provider) to generate a response. We do not send your data to Anthropic except when you use an AI feature. Anthropic processes it under their terms and does not use it to train their models via the API. If you never use VAL or photo identification, none of your content is sent to Anthropic.
How we use your data To provide, back up, and sync the App’s features across your devices. To generate AI responses when you use VAL or photo identification. To protect the service (rate limiting and abuse prevention). We do not sell your data, show you ads, or use your content for advertising.
Who we share it with Supabase — our database and authentication host (stores your account and content). Anthropic — our AI provider (only the content involved in an AI request). Apple — sign-in and, if enabled, on-device calendar and reminders. We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.
Data retention & your choices Deleting an item in the App deletes it from the cloud copy too. You can permanently delete your entire account and all its data from inside the App (Profile → Delete Account). You can also request deletion by emailing yahnette@lacyjones.com. You can sign out anytime, which removes the session from your device. Security Your content is protected in transit (HTTPS) and isolated per-account by row-level security. The AI provider key never lives in the App — AI requests go through our authenticated backend.
Children The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes We’ll update this policy as the App evolves and note the date above.
